A small tornado was reported to have struck the Northern Bay Area this morning. The National Weather Service says a strong burst of wind ripped off a roof and caused downed power lines in Santa Rosa shortly after 9 a.m. This morning’s weather phenomenon occurred prior to a tornado warning issued briefly for San Mateo County and the Santa Cruz Mountains between 11 and 11:30 a.m.. No damages, or any twisters were reported.
