A Salinas man was sentenced today in another man’s drowning death nearly 2-years ago. 26-year old Enedino Gonzalez was sentenced to 25-years to life in prison after pleading no contest last month to a 1st degree murder charge in the death of a 22-year old Crescencio Texco Garcia. Garcia’s body was found under the Arroyo Seco Bridge near Elm Avenue, on August 2nd of 2009. Perea’s nephew, who was 17-years of age at the time of the incident, was also arrested in the case, he was charged as an adult, and is slated to appear in court in May.
