A Watsonville couple remains in critical condition after suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning over the weekend. Fire crews responded to a Marchant Street apartment complex just before midnight Sunday night about a potential gas leak, and found the couple unconscious in their apartment. 16 other residents of the complex were evacuated after a faulty wall heater in the couple’s apartment led to incomplete burning of natural gas and the emission of carbon monoxide.
