Pajaro Valley school leaders are expected to consider cutting 1-million dollars from adult education tonight. The proposal is part of a 2.5-million dollar package of potential cuts under consideration to meet a March 15th deadline for notifying teachers of possible layoffs. Also proposed are adding more students to kindergarten through 3rd grade classrooms and reducing nurses and staff in transportation, technology, human resources and finance departments. Separate cuts are also expected to be considered for migrant education, special education and child development.
