Central Coast resident and fitness guru, Jack LaLane died over the weekend of respiratory failure due to pneumonia. The 96-year old was known for his long-time commitment of transforming the lives of millions through his television work-out show from the 1950’s to the 70’s, then by his chain of fitness studios to his self-named Power Juicer. LaLane, who developed exercises that used no special equipment, just a chair and a towel, died yesterday at his home in Morrow Bay. He is survived by his wife Elaine, 2 sons and a daughter.
