Salinas Police are still unsure who hit and killed a pedestrian earlier this month on Williams Road. 56-year-old Simona Fletes-Ocon was struck as she crossed the street on January 14th. Police believed 73-year-old Rod Osoteo was responsible (based on witness statements). Osoteo was questioned at the time, however authorities no longer believe that he was the driver that killed Fletes-Ocon. The case remains under investigation, and anyone who witnessed the fatal hit-and-run is encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department.
