Heightened security measures were on tap today at U.C. Santa Cruz after a message warning of impending violence was found on campus last week. Officials found graffiti written in a men’s bathroom in the Social Sciences 2 building at College ten on January 11th containing a threat of violence to be carried out today. A spokesperson for the University said the campus was open all day today, though some classes were relocated or canceled, along with heightened security measures with additional police presence, and proper resources ensuring the safety of students, staff and visitors on campus.
