A RECENT REPORT INDICATES THAT A FIRST STUDY (THAT LINKED CHILDHOOD VACCINES WITH AUTISM) WAS BASED ON DOCTORED INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHILDREN INVOLVED. MANY OF THE FIRST REPORT’S AUTHORS HAVE RENOUNCED THE 1998 PAPER, WHICH WAS RETRACTED BY THE MEDICAL JOURNAL LANCET. BY COMPARING THE REPORTED DIAGNOSES, WITH HOSPITAL RECORDS, IT HAS SINCE BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE INITIAL CLAIM (THAT THE 12 CHILDREN STUDIED WERE NORMAL PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE M.M.R. VACCINES, WAS INACCURATE…. BECAUSE AT LEAST 5 HAD PREVIOUSLY-DOCUMENTED DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES.
