Monterey county officials have announced that el desquite restaurant, in bolsa knolls, will be able to continue serving alcohol. After an incident involving a rowdy crowd last weekend, county officials had accused the bar of violating zoning laws. However, the establishment’s owners presented county officials with documentation last week, which proves that the bar is permitted to sell beer and wine. El desquite has been ordered not to have live music shows, or to sell hard liquor.
