The cost of a parking ticket in Salinas is expected to rise, as the City Council will vote on an increase tomorrow(tues). The move to raise all types of parking tickets by $3, is being made to offset an increased fee from the state. Parking for too long in a timed space will result in a $32-ticket, up from $29 , if the hike is approved. Council members are also expected to vote on increasing the cost of parking an aircraft at Salinas Municipal Airport, by 3-percent. That increase would raise an estimated 17-thousand dollars annually, to ensure that the airport remains self-funded.
