******* ESCAPED INMATE BACK IN CUSTODY********
An armed prisoner, who escaped while he was being transported to Dominican Hospital today, is being sought. Police say the inmate, Maurice Ainsworth stole a gun from the deputy who was transporting him, tased her, and then shot a security guard on the 1500 block of Paul Sweet Road near Domincan Hospital. Several area schools including Harbor High School, Green Acres, DeLaveaga School and Secret Garden 2 Preschool, along with Dominican Hospital, have all been placed on lock-down while police search the area. Police say the inmate, who is considered armed and dangerous, fled to the area of English Drive, and has barricaded himself in a home there. SWAT teams are on the scene. The area of English Drive is being evacuated home by home. Please avoid the area of Capitola Road on Soquel all the way to 41st Avenue.
