A number of non-profits in Monterey County have received grants. Harmony at Home has received 10,000 dollars from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation for a counseling program. The Visiting Nurse Association has been awarded a grant of 190-thousand dollars by the Hospice Foundation. A non-profit in Salinas has not received any grants, but is seeking volunteers, is the Steinbeck House. That non-profit is seeking kitchen staff, servers, and cashiers.
