A Monterey – Salinas Transit driver has been charged with mis-demeanor vehicular manslaughter in connection with an accident that killed an 87-year old Monterey man. 49-year old Taylor Norisett is expected to be arraigned on November 17th for killing Samuel Conboy, who was hit while crossing Pacific Street at Del Monte Avenue on September 16th. Officials say since Norisett has no prior criminal record in Monterey County, and a spotless driving record for the transit agency, the maximum sentence of one-year in jail for a charge of vehicular manslaughter (without gross negligence), may be reduced.
