A Cal-fire helicopter rescue was conducted this weekend in Monterey County, after a mountain climber became stranded near Arroyo Seco Gorge. Cal-Fire crews worked with firefighters from the South Monterey County Fire Protection District, and began the operation at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. The man, in his mid-20s, had become stranded about 2-hundred feet above the gorge, when he could not find a way up or down the cliff. The rescue took about an hour, and the victim was uninjured.
