2 hikers were critically injured after falling 20-to-25 feet onto rocks at a beach South of Davenport Wednesday afternoon. The 2 men, ages 21 and 25, reportedly slipped while they were climbing up a cliff at Panther Beach just off Highway-1 at around 4:35 p.m. Cal-fire, State Park rangers and Santa Cruz firefighters all responded to the scene, with dozens of medics and rangers. The 2 were air-lifted to different area trauma centers.
