Volunteers are being sought to help collect samples of water in Santa Cruz County. The Coastal Watershed Council is planning to collect samples from creeks and rivers as part of the First Flush Program. The goal of the program is to analyze the waterways after the first large rainfall of the upcoming wet season. A training session for volunteers is scheduled for Tuesday, from 6:30-8:30 PM, at the Capitola Community Room, located at 420 Capitola Avenue.
