Repair work begins today for the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Outer Bay Exhibit. The exhibit, which has been home to a variety of sea creatures since 1996, will close for nearly a year to repair and expand it to include different animals in the future. The exhibit is scheduled to reopen on July 1st of next year. The nearby Drifter’s gallery, which features jellyfish, is expected to remain open until early January, when it too will close for renovations.
