Santa Cruz County Parks officials are looking for artists that are interested in painting local traffic-control boxes. Officials are seeking to expand a program already underway in Santa Cruz and Capitola, which has residents decorate the light-green boxes that accompany traffic signals. Proposals for the “Outside the Box Program” are being accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, September 17th. More information can be found online at www.scparks.com.
