Federal Aviation Administration officials believe that a plane that was discovered this (Fri) afternoon in the Sierra mountains, along with 2-bodies, originated from Watsonville. The single-engine Piper Cherokee Arrow had flown from Watsonville to Auburn, and had taken off from Auburn to an unknown destination. However a hiker discovered the wreckage today, near Emigrant Gap, in Placer County. The names of the victims, have not been released. Federal investigators are due to arrive on the scene tomorrow.
