Reports that several great white sharks seen at the Capitola Wharf yesterday, so far, have not been confirmed. The sightings were reported as of 5:30 p.m. by fishermen who say one of the 2 sharks they saw was 19 to 20 feet long and a much smaller one, which was reportedly seen swimming around their boat. Regardless of the sighting, authorities say the beach will stay open.
