On Saturday, a ceremony was held to mark the preservation of almost 1-thousand acres of agricultural land in the Pajaro Valley. 4-land owners entered easement agreements with the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, to set aside 14-properties east of Watonsville for permanent agricultural use. The easements secure the development rights for the 987-acres, and were purchased with 4.5-million dollars of state and federal funds.
