On Saturday morning, Santa Cruz Police arrested a man suspected of starting a fire in the entry-way of the Santa Cruz City Attorney’s office. 52-year-old Miguel William Balderos had been wanted for the Friday morning arson, after police say they identified him on surveillance video footage. He was taken into custody without incident at 4:15 a.m., at the 7-11 on Mission and Swift Streets, in Santa Cruz. Balderos was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on a no-bail warrant, and was also charged with a parole violation.
