A 9TH GRADE SEASIDE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IS PREPARING TO PLAY CARNEGIE HALL. 14 YEAR-OLD ROBERT HRUBY-PERCELL HAS BEEN HAND-PICKED TO JOIN THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HONORS ORCHESTRA, WHICH IS SLATED TO PLAY CARNEGIE HALL FEBRUARY 9TH. HRUBY-PERCELL BECAME A MEMBER OF THE SAN JOSE YOUTH SYMPHONY AT THE AGE OF 8, AND HE WAS PICKED TO BE PART OF THE CENTRAL COAST HONORS ORCHESTRA WHEN HE WAS 11 YEARS-OLD. HE HAS PLAYED THE CELLO SINCE HE WAS 4 YEARS-OLD, BUT HE IS ALSO CURRENTLY MAINTAINING A 4.25 GRADE POINT AVERAGE AT SEASIDE HIGH SCHOOL.
