Although 86 people have been tested so far in Monterey county (by the Monterey County Health Department’s lab)…..two have now tested positive for Coronavirus. There are more than a dozen tests still awaiting results. Officials with the Monterey County Health Department say they have the capacity to test 40 patient specimens per day….but so far they have only tested 9 per day. Although local doctors can recommend that their patients be tested, the testing must be approved by the Health Department.
