7 former boxers have been inducted into the International Women’s Boxing Hall Of Fame….including a Watsonville boxer. Carina Moreno has accumulated 9 National Titles as an amateur boxer, and 5 world titles….in 3 weight classes as a professional fighter. Moreno has been labeled a pioneer, and true ambassador, for women’s boxing. She has compiled an amateur career record of 36-2 and was a member of the first female USA boxing team in 2000. Moreno, and the 6 other boxers, are scheduled to be inducted into the I.W.B.H.F. in Brisbane on Friday.
