despite the rough weather this weekend, over 100 people turned out to a 5k run early sunday morning in memory of a young santa cruz man who died while employed at the emergency dispatch center. the 5k squirrel fun run was organized by the santa cruz 911 employees association to benefit the justin keele memorial scholarship fund. justin keele, a u.c.s.c. graduate, died in 2004 at the age of 25 after an accident at his soquel home. the race raised more than 3-thousand dollars.
