50-arrests were made last night in downtown santa cruz. The arrests were mostly for alcohol-related incidents, however there were also other incidents, including suspicion of domestic violence. In addition to the arrests, 49-tickets were issued in the “triple fine” zone around pacific avenue. an estimated 15-thousand people turned out throughout the night, to march in the unofficial party-parade. No serious injuries were reported. The santa cruz police department received 347-calls for service on Halloween night, which is a 75-percent increase from last year.
