The owners of a vacant 2-story building in downtown Santa Cruz, want to tear it down and build a 4-story mixed-use building. The new building would have retail space on the ground floor, and 17 condominiums above. The “L” shaped property fronts onto Pacific Avenue (between the Catalyst and Old School Shoes), and onto Cathcart Street (next to Hula’s Grill). the building proposal is slated to go to the Santa Cruz Planning Commission during their meeting tomorrow night, which starts at 7 p.m. at 809 Center Street.
