4 MALES, AGE 15 TO 20 YEARS-OLD, HAVE PLEADED NOT GUILTY TO CHARGES THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH A HOMICIDE (IN THE WATSONVILLE AREA) LAST MONTH. 15 YEAR-OLD ERIC ROMERO, 20 YEAR-OLD OSCAR VACA VARGAS, AND 17 YEAR-OLDS GERMAN CARILLO AND ANDRES ROCHA FACE CHARGES OF MURDER. POLICE SAY THAT THE FEBRUARY 28TH STABBING DEATH OF 20 YEAR-OLD FELIPE ADAN REYES, WHO WAS CHASED FROM A NEARBY APARTMENT COMPLEX (BEFORE BEING BEATEN AND THEN STABBED NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF LINCOLN AND ALVARADO STREETS (NEAR FREEDOM BOULEVARD)), WAS GANG-MOTIVATED.
ALL 4 SUSPECTS ARE BEING HELD ON 1 MILLION DOLLARS BAIL, AND ARE SCHEDULED TO RETURN TO A SANTA CRUZ COUNTY COURT ROOM APRIL 24TH.
