A 4-CITY MERGER (OF POLICE DEPARTMENTS) WAS APPROVED BY SOLEDAD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS LAST NIGHT. THE IDEA OF SHARING RESOURCES BEGAN WITH ALL 4 CITIES SHARING AN ANTI-GANG STATE GRANT. SOLEDAD AND GREENFIELD POLICE CHIEF ERIC SILLS SAYS HE BELIEVES THE POTENTIAL 4 CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT MERGER WOULD INCREASE POLICE OFFICERS RESPONSE TIME DURING EMERGENCIES.
