TEAMS FROM 5 LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS TOOK PART IN THE SILICON VALLEY FIRST-EVER ROBOTICS COMPETITION AT SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY. OUT OF THE 58 TOTAL TEAMS INVOLVED, 3 LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS, SEASIDE, CARMEL, AND YORK HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE NATIONAL ROBOTIC COMPETITION IN SAINT LOUIS LATER THIS MONTH.     CARMEL WAS GIVEN A 5 THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT FOR THEIR FOURTH PLACE FINISH IN SAN JOSE, AND WILL BE USED TOWARDS MAKING THE 8 THOUSAND DOLLAR TRIP TO SAINT LOUIS. SEASIDE AND YORK HIGH SCHOOLS WILL SEEK THESE NEXT 2 WEEKS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FUNDRAISE, IN ORDER TO MAKE THE TRIP TO THE NATIONAL ROBOTIC COMPETITION.
