Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

AN APPELLATE COURT RULING HAS AFFIRMED SANTA CRUZ COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS’ RIGHT TO HOST RODEOS.    THE LOWER COURT RULING WAS UPHELD TO AFFIRM EQUESTRIAN EVENTS FIT WITHIN THE HISTORICAL USES OF THE GROUNDS.    IN THE PAST, CITIZENS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY HAVE CHALLENGED THE RODEO, CITING POLLUTION AND NOISE. FAIRGROUND OFFICIALS SPENT OVER 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN COURT DEFENDING THEIR EVENT.   THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY FAIR WILL CONTINUE IN SEPTEMBER.
