SCOTTS VALLEY’S MAYOR HAS ANNOUNCED UPCOMING PLANS FOR A TOWN CENTER.    DURING A BREAKFAST EVENT AT OAK TREE VILLA YESTERDAY (WED), MAYOR JIM REED SPOKE TO ATTENDEES ABOUT THE POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LAND BETWEEN MOUNT HERMAN DRIVE AND BLUE BONNET LANE.   THE CENTER WOULD INCLUDE RETAIL SPACE AND A SAFEWAY.  THE BUILDING OF A TOWN CENTER HAS BEEN DISCUSSED SINCE 2008 BUT REED SAYS A PLAN SHOULD BE PREPARED WITHIN TWO MONTHS.
