ABOUT 400 ACRES HAVE BURNED IN THE HILLS SOUTHEAST OF SALINAS. THAT AFTER A CONTROLLED BURN, THAT WAS STARTED YESTERDAY (WEDNESDAY) MORNING, WENT OUT OF CONTROL JUST BEFORE 5 P-M LAST NIGHT. AS OF TODAY’S 8 O’CLOCK UPDATE, CAL-FIRE FIREFIGHTERS HAD THE BLAZE 30 PERCENT CONTAINED.
