Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A SANTA CRUZ MAN WAS ARRESTED FOR BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS AND MAKING A FALSE POLICE REPORT. AT AROUND 3 P-M YESTERDAY (THURS) A 24 YEAR OLD MAN REPORTED THAT HIS NEIGHBOR HAD SHOT HIS GIRLFRIEND AND WAS ON THE LOOSE IN THE AREA OF THE CIRCLE STREETS ON THE WESTSIDE OF TOWN. THE SWAT TEAM WAS CALLED IN AND THE AREA LOCKED DOWN. THE ALLEGED SHOOTER WAS FOUND AT HOME AND DETAINED UNTIL INVESTIGATORS DETERMINED HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS AT WORK. THE CALLER, WHO’S IDENTITY HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED AT THIS TIME, WAS THEN ARRESTED.  THE POLICE ISSUED AN ALL CLEAR NOTICE AND REMOVED THE LOCKDOWN AT 4:20 P-M.
