Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A MAN IS BEING SOUGHT BY SANTA CRUZ POLICE AFTER HE INTERFFERED WITH AN INVESTIGATION AND ASSAULTED AN OFFICER. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE ABOUT 1 P-M SATURDAY ON THE 6-HUNDRED BLOCK OF OCEAN STREET WHEN A MAN IN HIS MID 20’S WALKED UP AND SAT NEXT TO A PERSON BEING INVESTIGATED, THE INVESTIGATING OFFICER TOLD THE MAN TO STEP AWAY UNTIL THE PERSON WAS CLEARED BY THE OFFICER. THE SUSPECT LEFT BUT RETURNED MINUTES LATER AND BEGAN THREATENING THE OFFICER, WHO DREW HIS TASER AND FIRED IT AT THE SUSPECT AFTER HE THREW A BASEBALL CAP STRIKING THE OFFICER IN THE FACE. DESPITE THE TASING THE SUSPECT WAS ABLE TO RUN  AND JUMP INTO A CREAM COLORED P-T CRUISER CONVERTIBLE, WHICH WAS LAST SEEN WEST BOUND ON WATER STREET.   ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THE INCIDENT IS URGED TO CONTACT THE SANTA CRUZ POLICE DEPARTMENT.
