A WANTED FUGITIVE AND SUSPECTED GANG MEMBER WAS ARRESTED SATURDAY NIGHT IN CAPITOLA. AT ABOUT 6:40 P-M.AN OFFICER WITH THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY ANTI-CRIME TEAM GANG TASK FORCE SPOTTED 24 YEAR OLD PAUL GARCIA IN A VEHICLE PARKED AT A 41STAVENUE AND CAPITOLA ROAD SHOPPING CENTER.  WHEN THE OFFICER APPROACHED THE VEHICLE, THE SUSPECT FLED THROUGH THE SHOPPING CENTER, THROWING CONTRABAND ON ROOF TOPS WHILE TRYING TO EVADE ARREST. GARCIA WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND A POLICE DOG WAS BROUGHT IN TO HELP LOCATE HALF AN OUNCE OF HEROIN, 2 OUNCES OF METH, AND BETWEEN 3 AND 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS IN CASH. GARCIA WAS BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL.
