A CAT  MAY  NEED  TO HAVE  HIS  LEG  AMPUTATED.    THAT  AFTER HE  STEPPED  IN  AN  ILLEGAL  BEAR  TRAP  IN  THE  ROYAL  OAKS  AREA  OF  NORTH  MONTEREY  COUNTY.    SCRUFFY’S  OWNERS  SAW  THE  CAT  DRAGGING  THE  METAL  TRAP  UP  THEIR  DRIVEWAY  THURSDAY, AND THEY TOOK THE  CAT  TO  EAST  LAKE  ANIMAL  CLINIC  IN  WATSONVILLE,  WHERE   IT  TOOK  2  PEOPLE  TO  GET  THE  BEAR TRAP  OFF  OF  THE  CAT’S  LEG.    THE  S.P.C.A.  IS  WORKING  TO  DETERMINE  WHO  WAS  RESPONSIBLE  FOR  SETTING THE  ILLEGAL  BEAR  TRAP.
