Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

Monterey’s 19th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at Cannery Row this year on November 29th.  The free event will be held at Steinbeck Plaza in front of Bubba Gump’s Restaurant.   Entertainment for the event is slated from 5-to-9-p.m., and includes Christmas carolers, Santa’s reindeers along with a visit from Santa himself.  The tree lighting will begin at 6 p.m.   Monterey County residents will be able to park for free after 4 p.m. for the first hour in the Cannery Row Garage at Foam and Wave Streets.
