Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A WHITE, 20-FOOT , TWIN OUTBOARD MOTORBOAT CONTAINING 80 POUNDS OF PACKAGED MARIJUANA WAS FOUND WRECKED ON FOUR MILE BEACH NORTH OF SANTA CRUZ ON MONDAY.     THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE BELIEVES THE BOAT MAY HAVE CONTAINED SEVERAL HUNDRED MORE POUNDS THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN SMUGGLED FROM THE BEACH EARLIER THIS MORNING.     THE POT CARRIES AN ESTIMATED STREET VALUE OF 96 THOUSAND DOLLARS AND, ACCORDING TO AUTHORITIES, SEEMS TO BE A MUCH LOWER GRADE THAN IS USUALLY FOUND IN SANTA CRUZ.     THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ASKS ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION TO CALL 831.471.1121.
