Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A WOMAN SUFFERED NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES OVER THE WEEKEND AFTER FALLING OFF A CLIFF NEAR NEW BRIGHTON STATE BEACH.   POLICE SAY THE WOMAN HAD BEEN DRINKING ALCOHOL WITH FRIENDS ON A CLIFF NEAR CORONADO STREET SATURDAY MORNING AROUND 2:20, WHEN SHE SLIPPED AND FELL.   A NEARBY COUPLE HEARD THE WOMAN YELLING FOR HELP AFTER SHE LANDED IN THE BRUSH AND CALLED 9-1-1.   AUTHORITIES SAY THE WOMAN WAS FOUND CONSCIOUS AND BREATHING.  SHE WAS AIR-LIFTED TO A BAY AREA HOSPITAL, WHERE SHE IS LISTED IN STABLE CONDITION.
