Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A FOUR VEHICLE CRASH SHUT DOWN LIGHTHOUSE AVENUE IN MONTEREY THIS MORNING FOR OVER AN HOUR.   THE 9:10 A.M. INCIDENT INVOLVED A BUS, A SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE, AND TWO OTHER VEHICLES.    POLICE SAY THE INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY A WOMAN IN HER 50S WHO DROVE HER BUICK THROUGH A RED LIGHT AND THEN CRASHED INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLES.   A PORTION OF LIGHTHOUSE AVENUE NEAR DAVID ALONG WITH THE MONTEREY TUNNEL WAS CLOSED UNTIL AFTER 10 A.M. TO RESCUE THE WOMAN FROM HER OVERTURNED VEHICLE.
