Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

BOTH SOUTH AND NORTHBOUND LANES OF HIGHWAY 17 WERE STALLED BY AN ACCIDENT FRIDAY NIGHT.  THE ACCIDENT TOOK PLACE SOUTH OF THE SCOTTS VALLEY DRIVE EXIT, AND INVOLVED 2 VEHICLES. ACCORDING TO THE C-H-P 1 VEHICLE ENDED UP ON ITS SIDE IN A SOUTHBOUND LANE, WHILE ANOTHER VEHICLE CAME TO REST ON A HILL NEXT TO THE NORTHBOUND LANES.  NORMAL TRAFFIC RESUMED AT ABOUT 10 P-M.   THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
