Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

SEASIDE COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE SLATED TO MEET TOMORROW TO RE-CONSIDER A PROPOSAL FOR AN IN-N-OUT BURGER EATERY.  THE CITY FIRST LOOKED AT DEVELOPING THE EATERY IN 2009 ON A 2-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND AT THE CITY’S SOUTHERN ENTRANCE ON DEL MONTE BOULEVARD.   NOW THE DEVELOPER OF A 68-ROOM BOUTIQUE HOTEL AND SUITES HAS PROPOSED BUILDING ON THE PROPERTY, CLAIMING THE HOTEL WOULD BRING IN MORE CITY REVENUE. OVER THE YEARS, THE SITE HAS HAD SEVERAL HOTELS, AN OFFICE BUILDING AND A RESTAURANT PROPOSED FOR IT.
