A project to beautify the median strip that separates the east and westbound lanes of Bridge Street in Watsonville was supposed to wrap up today. The 2-year, 3-phase project, that runs for 9 blocks called for the installation of sheet mulching, a drip irrigation system, and then over the last couple of weeks 17 California Conservation Corp members worked with city workers to plant drought-tolerant Yellow Yarrow, Flowering Nepeta and Lomandra Grass.
