Authorities have released more information in connection with an on-going case of animal abuse, in which a former watsonville police officer is accused of abusing his former k-9 partner. Authorities revealed today that a 2nd dog was seized from the property of Francisco Ibarra, at the same time his other k-9 partner “ingo” was being seized in may, 2010. the 2nd german Sheppard, 14-year-old “luke” had to be euthanized, due to his poor health. If convicted, Ibarra faces 6-months in jail and a 1-thousand dollar fine. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
