The 2019 Finalists have been announced by the James Beard Foundation….and there were California finalists in every category except 1. 2 were from the Greater Monterey Bay Area. The Outstanding Baker was Avery Ruzicka from Manresa Bread in Los Gatos; and the Outstanding Chef was David Kinch, also from Manresa in Los Gatos. Several more winners were from San Francisco. The awards will be presented on May 6 at the Lyric Opera in Chicago.
