A Salinas man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in downtown Santa Cruz early Sunday morning. The 27-year old victim was airlifted to an out of county trauma center after he and another Salinas man suffered stab wounds at during a fight involving 10 people at around 2:30 a.m. on Pacific Avenue near Laurel Street.
C-H-P officers, meanwhile, responded 20-minutes later (that same day) to a hit-and-run on Highway-1 in Aptos, and found 4 men who attempted to flee from an accident. Officers found a knife and blood in the car and discovered facial bruises on 2 of the men. One of the men was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The car, which had New York license plates and was registered to a Watsonville resident, was impounded.
At this time, the incidents don’t seem to be related.
