Two people, who write for the Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper, have received awards. Assistant Sports Editor Jim Seimas won second place in the “explanatory division”, while Sentinel Sports Editor Julie Jag took 5th place in the “project category”. The awards are the final results of the Associated Press Sports Editors annual national writing contest.
