(06:50) Salinas – Authorities reported that 2 Salinas residents were killed in a car crash near Palm Springs, on Saturday. The crash took place at 1:00 a.m. on Interstate 10. The vehicle was heading east when the driver lost control, causing it to overturn. 3 9-year-old Fernando Gonzalez died at the scene, and 25 year-old Ernesto Vega passed away at Desert Regional Medical Center. A total of 6 people were in the vehicle, 3 of them were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
